• 2 cup Wheat Flour

• 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour

• 2 tbsp Milk

• 2 Eggs (beaten)

• 1 tbsp Water

• 2 tbsp Ghee

• Salt to taste

• 1 pinch Red Chilly Powder

How to make Tandoori Egg Parantha:

• Mix flour, all purpose flour and salt together in a bowl. To form medium firm dough, add hot water slowly and knead it.

• Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and leave for 15 minutes.

• In the meanwhile, mix the beaten eggs, milk, salt and chili powder thoroughly. Keep it aside.

• After the due time, divide the dough into equal golf ball size balls.

• Dip the dough ball into dry flour and roll it out into an oval shape (approx 5 inches).

• Place a heavy circular griddle over medium flame and when it becomes sufficiently hot, smear it with a tsp of cooking oil.

• Place the rolled roti on a griddle; smear it with a spoon of egg-salt-chilli powder mixture.

• When cooked on one side, flip it over using tongs to cook it until light golden brown spots appear.

• Remove the roti from the tava. Keep it in a covered (preferably insulated) container.

• Tandoori Egg Parantha is ready to eat. Serve hot.

• ½ cup Coriander leaves (chopped)

• ½ cup Mint/Pudina (chopped)

• 2 Cinnamon sticks (medium size)

• 500 g Cottage Cheese

• 3 Green Cardamoms

• 4 Cloves

• 3 pinches Cumin Seeds

• 2 Onions (medium sized)

• 2 Bay leaves

• 5-6 Garlic cloves

• 4 tbsp Fresh Cream

• 2-3 Green Chilies

• 2 inch piece Ginger

• 1/2 cup Yogurt

• 1/2 tsp Garam Masala (powder)

• 1 tbsp Peppercorns (crushed)

• 1/2 tsp Coriander/Dhaniya (powdered)

• Salt (to taste)

How to make Paneer Kalimirch:

• Start with cottage cheese and cut it into medium- sized cubes. Fry them in 1 tsp of oil. (optional)

• Take a large saucepan and heat some oil in it. Put cumin seeds in it and fry, till they start to crackle.

• Add onions to the pan and fry them until they turn brown.

• Remove the onion from pan and let them cool down.

• Now, crush them along with ginger, green chilies and garlic, in the blender.

• In the saucepan, heat 2 tbsp oil and add cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon sticks and bay leaves to it, along with ground paste. Mix them well.

• Now, add coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt, fresh cream and whisked yogurt. Mix them well again.

• Add water to the pan and bring it to boil. Now, further add paneer cubes to it, along with chopped mint and coriander leaves.

• Cover the pan with the lid and let it cook on low- medium temperature, for 10- 15 minutes.

• When it is done, sprinkle ground peppercorns on top and serve it hot, with rice or chapattis.

• 2 cups Potatoes (mashed)

• 2 Onions (chopped)

• 1 tsp Green Chillies (chopped)

• 1 tsp Ginger (adrak) (paste)

• 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (rai/sarson)

• 1 pinch of Asafetida (Hing)

• 1½ tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi)

• Oil for deep frying

• Salt to taste

• Ingredients for Batter

• 1 cup Besan (Bengal Gram Flour)

• 1 tsp Turmeric powder (Haldi)

How to make Aloo Vada:

• Mix all ingredients (besan and turmeric powder) of batter to form a dip thick enough to thickly coat back of a spoon. Keep aside.

• Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Add asafetida, mustard seeds, green chillies and onions.

• Saute for a couple of minutes till onions turn golden color.

• Add ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric and salt and saute for a few more minutes; then add the mashed potatoes and cook it for 2 minutes.

• Allow the potato mixture cool down and divide the mixture into 8 portions, shape into round balls and keep aside.

• Heat oil in a frying pan.

• Coat each of the potato balls in the gram flour batter and gradually let it into the oil.

• Deep fry the potato balls until golden brown in color.

• Drain on absorbent paper.


Serve it hot with tea

• Soak raw rice for about 4 hours and drain.

• Blend with cooked rice and grated coconut in a mixie.

• Mix sugar, yeast and salt in boiled water. Leave it for half an hour.

• Add this mixture to the above grinded mixture.

• Leave the mixture for fermentation for 8 hours.

• Spread this fermented mixture in a non-stick pan.

• Put a lid on the pan and heat it for 2 minutes.

• Appam is ready. Serve it with potato curry.

• 1 ½ cup Basmati Rice

• ½ cup Cauliflower

• ½ cup Green Peas

• ½ cup Beans (chopped into small pieces)

• 2 Capsicum (chopped)

• 2 Potatoes (boiled)

• 2 Onions (quartered)

• 2 Onions (chopped)

• 1 cup Curd

• 1 Cinnamon (dalchini) Stick

• 2 Cloves (laung)

• 2 Bay Leaves

• 2 Cardamoms.

• 1 tsp Red Chili Powder

• ¼ tsp Haldi (turmeric) Powder

• 4 whole Black Peppers

• 1 tsp Garlic (grated)

• 1 tsp Ginger (grated)

• ¼ tsp Hing

• 1 tbsp Coriander (chopped)

• 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

• 10 Almonds

• 10 Cashewnuts

• 4 tbsp Ghee

• Salt to taste

How to make Handi Biryani:

• Boil the cauliflower, peas and beans together with salt and keep it aside.

• Soak rice in water for 30 minutes.

• Strain the water and mix salt with the rice. Spread it on a plate.

• Take a pan and heat ghee in it. Add onions and fry till they turn brown.

• Take out the fried onions and keep it aside.

• Separately fry cashews till light brown and the capsicums till they become soft and keep aside.

• Take a big vessel and heat 6 cups of water in it.

• Add the pepper, cloves, cardamoms, bay leaves and salt.

• Bring it to boil and then add rice. Cook for 8 to 9 minutes.

• Take out the rice and spread it in a large plate.

• Blend the quartered onion, garlic and ginger into a fine paste.

• Heat ghee in a pan and put the paste in it.

• Saute for 3 minutes.

• Now add chopped tomatoes, chilli powder, haldi powder, garam masala, hing, onion and boiled vegetables.

• Saute till the oil separates.

• Now add the beaten curd and cook for about 3 minutes.

• Add the potatoes.

• Mix well and keep side.

• Take a handi (earthen pot) and grease the inside of the pot with ghee.

• Spread a layer of rice at the bottom of the pot.

• Now spread evenly the cooked vegetables on the rice.

• Take a bowl and mix in it capsicum, fried onions, cashew, coriander and sliced almonds.

• Spread this mixture layer over the vegetable layer in the pot.

• Sprinkle half of the lemon juice over the layered rice.

• Again put a layer of rice followed by a layer of vegetables and lemon juice sprinkling.

• Repeat the process till the handi is filled.

• Cover the pot with a lid and seal the edges with chappati dough.

• Put the pot in a preheated oven at 130 degrees.

• Keep the pot in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

• You must make a small slit in the cover of handi for the excess steam to escape.

• Enjoy hot Handi Biryani.

How to make Chettinad Mutton Curry:

• Wash the mutton well and cut into medium-sized pieces.

• Put shallots, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, pepper corns, chili powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder in a jar and grind them to a coarse paste.

• Use the above paste along with salt to marinate the mutton and keep it aside for about 30 minutes.

• Heat one tablespoon of oil in a cooker and add the marinated mutton.

• Pressure cook the mutton up to 4 whistles.

• Take a pan or kadai and heat oil in it.

• Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

• Add curry leaves, chopped onions and sauté well until they turn golden brown.

• Next, add in the chopped tomatoes and stir well until they turn tender.

• Add the mutton and cook until the oil separates from the curry.

• Remove from fire and sprinkle cumin and fenugreek seed powder.

• Pour into baking dish.

• Preheat oven at 200 degrees C.

• Place the dish and bake for 30 minutes.

• Sprinkle little coriander and serve cooled.

• 1 cup Maize Flour (makai ka atta)

• ½ cup Sour Curd

• ½ cup Sweet Corn Kernels

• 2 tsp Ginger-Green Chili Paste

• ¼ tsp Asafetida (hing)

• 2 tsp Sugar

• 1 tsp Lemon Juice

• 1 tsp Fruit Salt

• 2 tsp Oil

• Water

For the Tempering

• 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (rai)

• 1 tsp Sesame Seeds (til)

• Pinch of Asafetida

• 1 tbsp Oil

For Garnishing

• 1 tbsp Coriander, chopped

How to make Makai ka Dhokla:

• In a bowl, mix maize flour and sour curd, along with ½ cup of warm water, well enough to form a smooth batter. Keep the batter aside for at least 30 minutes.

• To the batter, add in the sweet corn, ginger-chili paste, asafetida, sugar, lemon juice, and oil. Mix well.

• Now add the fruit salt and mix the preparation gently.

• Grease a 150 mm (6”) diameter thali with oil.

• Pour the prepared batter into the thali and steam it for 15 to 20 minutes.

• For the tempering, heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and asafetida. Fry them until the seeds start crackling.

• Remove the dhokla from the pot.

• Pour the tempering over the prepared dhokla.

• Use chopped coriander to garnish the dhokla.

• Cut into pieces and serve hot.

• Firstly, pre heat the outdoor grill at about medium heat and lightly oil the grate.

• In a pan, spray some cooking oil and put it to medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté the mixture until it turns golden yellow.

• Add the bell pepper, mushrooms, tomatoes and carrots. Set aside and allow all vegetables to cool completely.

• Now, in a large bowl, combine chicken and vegetables. Add the egg, bread crumbs and seasonings to taste. Mix all together well and form into patties.

• Put the patties onto the grate and grill for about 5 to 6 minutes per side.

• Roast the buns on their inner side and put one patty on each of the bun base. Toss it up with onion slices and serve!!

• ½ cup firm Tofu (diced)

• 1 cup Bean Sprouts

• 1 cup frozen Mixed Vegetables (thawed)

• ½ cup Cabbage (shredded)

• 4 tsp Canola Oil

• ¼ cup Soy Sauce

• 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar

• 1 tbsp Sesame Oil

• 1 Chile Pepper (chopped, optional)

How to make Korean Pizza:

• Take a large bowl and combine flour, eggs, water and salt together.

• Add shallot, green onion, crabmeat, pork, tofu, bean sprouts, mixed vegetables and cabbage. Mix well to blend the ingredients.

• Heat some canola oil in a large skillet on medium heat.

• Spoon enough of the vegetable mixture on the bottom of the pan.

• Cook for about 8 minutes till the underside of the pizza turns golden brown.

• Flip over and cook on the other side for 3 minutes until browned.

• Remove and place on a serving platter.

• Repeat with the remaining batter.

• 6 Baby corn

• 1/4 Cup beans, chopped

• 1/4 Cup carrot, diced

• 1/4 Cup peas, boiled

• 1/4 Cup cabbage, thin strips

• 1/4 Cup cauliflower

• 1/2 Onion

• 2 Cubes cheese

• 2 Pods garlic

• 1 tsp Sugar

• Pepper powder to taste

• Salt to taste

• Oil as required

• Few dhania leaves for garnishing

• Water as required

How to make Baby Corn Soup:

• Cook the baby corns with onion and garlic in the pressure cooker until soft.

• Meanwhile, boil peas.

• Take a pan and heat a little oil, fry carrot, beans, cauliflower and cabbage or microwave with water sprinkled for about 1 minute, keep aside.

• Blend the cooked baby corn properly.

• Strain into a pan, and add boiled peas, water and other vegetables to it.

• Bring it to a boil.

• Combine salt, pepper and sugar with it, mix well.

• Boil for about one minute and add cheese to it.

• Remove it from the heat.

• Garnish it with the dhania leaves and serve hot.

Bharli Vangi is a sweet and tangy Maharashtrian dish made with coconut and peanuts. Learn how to make Bharli Vaangi by following this easy recipe.


• 6 small Brinjals

• 3 tsp Gur (grated)

• 3 tbsp Coconut (grated)

• 3 tsp Red Chilli powder

• 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

• 1 tsp Mustard Seeds

• ½ tsp Turmeric Powder

• 2 tbsp Tamarind Pulp

• Salt to taste

• Oil (as required)

For filling

• 1 tsp Cumin Seeds

• 2 tsp Coriander Powder

• 6 Cloves

• 6 Peppercorns

• 1 Cinnamon Stick

• 1 cup Onion (grated)

• ¼ cup Peanuts (roasted and powdered)

How to make Bharli Vangi:

• Put all the ingredients for the filling (cumin, coriander, cloves, cinnamon, grated onion, peanuts and peppercorns) in a mixer to make a fine paste.

• Heat a pan and put little oil. Add grated coconut, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and the paste and saute for a while. Take out the masala and keep it aside.

• Wash the brinjals and slit them lengthwise. Do not cut the stem.

• Rub the brinjals with salt and turmeric.

• Stuff the masala (filling paste) in each of the brinjals.

• Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add cumin and mustard seeds.

• When the seeds splutter, add the stuffed brinjals.

• Cover it with a lid and let the brinjals cook over low heat.

• When the brinjals become soft, add little water.

• Now add the tamarind and jaggery water into it. (Tamarind pulp and grated jaggery mixed in 1 cup water).

• Sprinkle salt according to your taste and cook the brinjals till done.

• Garnish with chopped coriander and coconut.

• Serve hot with rotis or parathas

• 600 g Mutton (cleaned and cut)

• 150 g Oil

• 200 g Onions (sliced)

• 50 g Whole Garam Masala

• 80 g Ginger-Garlic Paste

• 25 g Red Chili Powder

• 15 g Turmeric Powder

• 20 g Coriander Powder

• 15 g Coriander Seeds

• 150 g Yoghurt

• 6 Red Chilies (whole)

• Salt (to taste)

How to make Banjari Gosht:

• Place a large saucepan over heat and heat oil in it.

• Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

• Add in the ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and whole garam masala. Stir well.

• Now, add mutton and yoghurt and mix well.

• Roast and crush the coriander seeds and add to the mutton.

• Allow the mutton to cook.

• When the mutton turns soft, garnish it with whole red chilies and a few pounded coriander seeds.

• Serve hot.

Bangla Khichdi is a tasty Bengali dinner recipe. Learn how to make/prepare Bangla Khichdi by following this easy recipe.


• 1 Cup rice (washed and soaked for 30 minutes)

• 1 Cup masoor dal (washed and soaked for 30 minutes)

• 1 tbsp Channa dal (washed and soaked for 30 minutes)

• 1 Bay leaf

• 3 Green cardamoms

• 1" Stick cinnamon

• 3 Cloves

• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

• 10-12 Tiny onions, peeled

• 10-12 Baby potatoes, washed clean

• 1/2 Cup peas, shelled

• 1 Carrot, diced

• 1 tsp Ginger, grated

• 1 tsp Garlic, grated

• 3-4 Green chilies, finely chopped

• 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

• 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder

• Salt to taste

• 5 Cups water

• 4 tbsp Ghee

• Chopped coriander leaves, for garnish

• Curd and chutney, to serve

How to make Bangla Khichdi:

• Drain dals and rice in a colander and keep aside.

• Semi crush spices (cardamom, cinnamon and cloves).

• Heat 3 tbsp ghee in a large heavy skillet.

• Add cumin seeds, bayleaf and crushed spices.

• Add ginger, garlic and chilies. Stir-fry for a moment.

• Add onions and potatoes (with skin). Stir-fry for 2 minutes.

• Add carrot, peas, turmeric, garam masala and salt.

• Add dals and rice. Gently stir-fry for 1 minute.

• Add water.

• Stir, bring to a boil, cover and simmer till done.

• When done, pour remaining ghee and sprinkle coriander leaves.

• Serve piping hot, with curd and chutney.

• Bangla Khichdi is ready.

Egg Paratha is a very popular recipe. Learn how to make/prepare Egg Parantha by following this easy recipe.


• 4 Eggs

• 2 Cups wheat flour

• 1 Chopped capsicum

• 1 Chopped tomato

• 2 Chopped onions

• Chopped fresh coriander

• 1 tsp Red chilli powder

• 2 tbsp Cooking oil

• Clarified Butter or Ghee

How to make Egg Paratha:

• Pour oil into a frying pan and heat it.

• Add chopped onions and fry on medium heat till they become golden brown.

• Add the tomato and capsicum and fry it for few minutes. Now add eggs, salt, red chilli and mix it properly. Cook the mixture until eggs are well done.

• Put coriander leaves into the mixture. Take off from the flame and leave the mixture aside.

• Make the dough by adding sufficient water to the flour. Knead it to convert into soft dough. Add 2 tbsp of clarified butter to it and knead it again for some time. Make small balls out of the dough.

• Roll the balls to give them roti shape.

• Take one roti and put the egg mixture. Cover it with another roti.

• Roll this roti a little and fry both sides properly in butter.

• Egg Paratha is ready to serve.

Mughlai Paratha

• 300 gm Maida

• 2 Eggs

• 1 tsp Baking powder

• Oil to cook

• Salt to taste

How to make Mughlai Paratha:

• Take a big bowl and mix flour, baking powder and salt.

• Rub the flour with 2 tbsp of oil.

• Add little water at a time and make soft dough.

• Make 8 balls from the dough and roll out into flat thick rounds.

• Apply little oil, sprinkle some flour and fold it into half circle.

• Again apply little oil and flour, fold it lengthwise.

• Now roll it, press down and roll out into square of 8 inches by 8 inches.

• Brush the surface of the paratha with the beaten eggs.

• Turn all four corners towards the middle.

• Heat the girdle and apply oil.

• Cook the paratha on it, applying oil along the edges.

• Fry on both the sides until brown patches appear.
