Beetroot Chaas

Ingredients:

• 2 Beetroot (chopped) 
• 2 Carrots (chopped) 
• 20 Mint Leaves 
• 1 Green Chili 
• 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds (roasted) 
• Black Salt 
• 2 cups Yoghurt 
• 1 cup Ice cubes 

How to make Beetroot Chaas:

• Blend all the ingredients except half cup ice.
• Pour the liquid in glasses and top with remaining ice.

Suggestions: Serve immediately.

Beetroot Cake is a delicious recipe. Learn how to prepare Beetroot Cake by following this easy recipe.



Ingredients:

• 3 Eggs (separated) 
• 150 g(5 oz.) Raw Beetroot, (peeled and coarsely grated) 
• 150 g(5 oz.) Carrot (coarsely grated) 
• 100 g (4 oz.) Mixed Nuts (chopped) 
• 250 g (9 oz.) Plain Flour (all-purpose)
• 1 tbsp (15 ml) Baking Powder 
• 1 tsp (5 ml) Ground Cinnamon 
• 1 cup (236 ml) Oil 
• 300 g (11oz.) Caster Sugar 
• Salt to taste 
• Sugar (as required)

How to make Beetroot Cake:

• Take a bowl and put cinnamon, flour, baking powder, and salt.
• Mix it well.
• Add oil, sugar into the mixture and beat it.
• Add beetroot, carrots, nuts, eggs yolks and mix it.
• Beat the egg whites until stiff.
• Fold the beaten egg whites into the mixture using a metal spoon.
• Pour the mixture into cake pan.
• Bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 1 hour until springy to the touch.

Suggestions: Serve chilled.

Beetroot Soup

Beetroot Soup is a very popular Russian recipe. Learn how to make/prepare Beet Root Soup by following this easy recipe.





Ingredients:
• 5-6 Raw Beetroots 
• 2 medium Onions (sliced) 
• 2 Large Potatoes (optional) 
• 1 liter Vegetable Stock 
• 1 lemon 
• 150 ml Natural Yoghurt 
• Salt & pepper to taste 

How to make Beetroot Soup:
• Scrub the beetroot and finely grate it.
• Scrub and chop the potatoes (if using) into 1cm cubes.
• Cook the beetroot, onions, potatoes and stock in a large pan at low heat for about 1/2 hour, or until all the vegetables are soft.
• Now strain the soup, discarding the vegetables.
• Add lemon juice and stir well.
• Mix in the yoghurt and season with salt & pepper to taste.
• Serve chilled.

Beetroot Halwa is a tasty Indian Dessert. Learn how to make/prepare Beet Root Halwa by following this easy recipe.



Ingredients:


• 1 kg Beetroot (peeled off, washed & finely grated)

• 2-1/2 Cups sugar

• 1/2 Liter milk (boiled)

• 2 to 3 Cups of water (sufficient to boil the beetroot)

• 8 Cashew nuts

• 8 Raisins

• 2 tbsp Ghee


How to make Beetroot Halwa:

• Pour water in a shallow pan (kadahi) and add grated beetroot.

• Put a lid on the pan and simmer well until water gets evaporated.

• Add sugar and half of the milk, stir constantly until the mixture achieves a thick consistency.

• Now add ghee and stir well.

• Add remaining milk and simmer again for just 1-2 minutes on low heat.

• Take off heat and garnish with cashew nuts and raisins.

• Beetroot Halwa is ready to serve hot.

Beetroot Curry

Beetroot Curry is a very popular recipe. Learn how to make/prepare Beetroot Curry by following this easy recipe.




Ingredients:

• 3 Beetroots (chopped)

• 1 Potato (chopped)

• 1 Onion (chopped)

• 1 Tomato (chopped)

• 3 tsp Coriander Seeds

• 2 tsp Bengal Gram

• 3 Red Chilies

• Salt (to taste)

• ½ tsp Turmeric Powder

• ½ cup grated Coconut

• Few Curry Leaves

• Oil (as required)


How to make Beetroot Curry:

• Pressure cook potatoes and beetroots for around 7 minutes.

• Dry roast coriander seeds, bengal gram, and red chilies until deep brown in color. Transfer into a blender and grind, along with coconut and some water, into a nice paste.

• Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the onions. Stir in tomatoes and cook well.

• Add beetroot and potatoes.

• Stir in turmeric and salt. Bring to a boil.

• Remove from heat and stir in curry leaves.

• Serve hot with boiled rice.

Beetroot Sambar

Beetroot Sambar is a palatable recipe. Learn how to prepare Tamilian Beetroot Sambar by following this easy recipe.



Ingredients:


• 1 tsp Sambar powder

• 1 cup (236 ml)Tur Dal (Split Red Gram) (cooked well)

• 1/4 cup(236 ml) Coconut (grated)

• 2 Green Chili (chopped)

• 3 Beetroots (peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes)

• ½ cup (118 ml) Curry Leaves (chopped)

• 10 flakes Tamarind (small size) (Imli)

• 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves

• Salt to taste



How to make Beetroot Sambar:


• Boil the beetroot until beetroot are soft and set aside.

• Take a pan and heat oil.

• Put mustard seeds into the oil and sauté it.

• Add urad dal, green chili, curry leaves, coconut and fry it.

• Put all the fried ingredients into the boiled beetroot and cook it with four to five cups of water.

• Add sambar powder, tamarind pulp

• Mix it well.

• Reduce the heat and simmer up to 5 min.

• Garnish with coriander leaves.


Suggestions: Serve with rice

Beetroot Salad

Ingredients:

• 1 peeled Beetroot

• 2 finely chopped Green Chillies
• 1/2 tsp Urad Dal
• 2 tsp Refined Oil
• 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
• A pinch of Asafoetida
• 6 to 8 Curry Leaves
• Finely chopped Coriander
• 2 tsp Lime Juice

How to make Beetroot Salad:

• Grate the beetroot into thin juliennes. Take a pan and heat oil in it. Add mustard seeds to it when hot enough. When they begin to crackle, add the urad dal and asafoetida.

• Wash the curry leaves and add them when the urad dal turns red to brown in colour, followed by green chilies, but make sure no to let the chilies fry all the way. The chilies should be half done so that they lose their pungency.
• To this tempering, add the grated beetroot, the salt and the chopped coriander and toss on high flame for a few seconds, till the beetroot becomes crisp.
• Remove from the stove and transfer into a serving bowl.
• Add the lemon juice and toss once again to mix the flavour.

Apple, Beet And Cucumber Juice

Ingredients:

• 2 medium Apples
• 1 medium Beetroot
• 3 medium Cucumbers
• Few drops of Lemon Juice


How to make Apple, Beet And Cucumber Juice:

• Grate the apples coarsely along with the peel and transfer it into a bowl.
• Grate cucumber and beetroot in the similar way and add to the grated apples. Add lemon juice and mix everything well.
• Transfer the mixture to the muslin cloth and squeeze out the juice into a fresh bowl. Pour into individual glasses and serve chilled.

BEETROOT PACHADI

Ingredients:


• 2 Cups grated beetroot

• 1-1/2 tsp Grated ginger

• 1 Finely chopped onion

• 3/4 tsp Mustard seeds

• 1 Sprig curry leaves

• 2 Green chillies, split

• 2 Cups curd

• 1-2 tbsp Oil

• Salt to taste


How to make Beetroot Pachadi:


•Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

•Fry the mustard seeds.

•Add onion and fry until it turns brown.

•Mix green chillies and keep stirring.

•Add the grated beetroot, curry leaves, ginger, and salt to taste.

•Simmer it until the beetroot is cooked properly.

•Add curd to the mixture when cool.

•Beetroot Pachadi is ready.



Suggestions:

Use a mixture of buttermilk and curd if you prefer the pachadi to have a thin consistency
